Jason Pridmore

Head Coach

Jason Pridmore has been one of the motorcycle industry stand-out personalities for over two decades. His championship-winning ways in racing, coupled with his disarming personality off the track, have kept him in the hearts and minds of enthusiasts throughout the world.

What makes Jason so unique is the way he connects with others. Having been involved in motorcycle education and training since he was 14 years old, “JP,” as most call him, has the type of personality that causes many to want to just be around him. He is outgoing and compassionate while maintaining and air of expertise in his field.

JP has an extensive resumé off the motorcycle track as well. He has been doing television, magazine, and online video work in the powersports industry for the past 15 years. Jason is currently color commentator for MotoAmerica racing on BeIn Sports Network and has done color commentary and race interviews for Speed TV; motorcycle testing and analysis for various global motorcycle magazines; and on camera Internet video for MotoUSA.

Jason’s racing career highlights include titles such as: 2012 FIM World Endurance Champion (to go along with his 2003 title), U.S. based AMA Pro 750 SuperSport Champion in 1997, and Formula Extreme Champion in 2002. Jason has provided track riding tips, racing tips, and keen insight to not only motorcycle students registered for JP43 Training, but he has also provided this service to many past and current AMA pro racers.

Michael Gilbert

Michael Gilbert

Michael Gilbert has been competing in the MotoAmerica series since 2015 and is one of the fastest 600 riders in the country. He has multiple podiums and finished 2nd in the Superstock 600 championship in 2017 as his best. He’s been working with Jason for 4 years now and is one of the regular instructors at JP43 Training events. Michael is a great instructor who gives a lot of himself to all his students, and when he’s not riding his motorcycle or mountain bike he’s working as a journalist at Cycle World.

Caroline Olsen

Caroline Olsen

After winning the Norwegian Superstock championship in 2011, Caroline Olsen came to the United States to compete in the AMA Pro Supersport championship. She’s had her share of bad luck and injuries the last few seasons, but has come back strong. Caro is currently racing in the highly competitive MotoAmerica Supersport 600 class, with multiple top-10 finishes under her belt. She wears many hats in the JP43 team, working as an instructor, event organizer, and acting team boss.

James Rispoli

James Rispoli

Of the instructors, James has worked with Jason the longest. Their relationship started in 2012, and since then James has won both races and championships in the AMA Pro Supersport and Daytona Sportbike classes, before spending the last few years racing full time in the extremely competitive British Superbike series. James is always on two wheels and a solid cyclist as a well as an excellent flat track rider. Never a dull moment with this guy and we’re lucky to have him on our team!

Corey Alexander

Corey Alexander

Corey Alexander and Jason have known each other for over twenty years, and are practically family. Corey has raced professionally for years both road racing and flat track with great results, including the 2013 AMA Pro SuperSport East Championship and podium finishes in MotoAmerica Superstock 1000. When he’s not racing you’re likely to find him at the family motorcycle shop (Hudson Valley Motorcycles), or working on his second passion, design. This guy is extremely talented on a bike and transfers that into his teaching.

Tyler Olmstead

Tyler Olmstead

Tyler Olmstead is a frontrunner in the CVMA series, 2017 CVMA Supersport Middleweight champion, and knows Chuckwalla like the back of his hand. You won’t find a nicer guy to help you take your riding to the next level. He’s the JP43 team’s designated handyman, and we’re convinced there’s nothing he can’t do. Tyler is a software developer by trade, and he brings an analytical approach to his teaching. In his free time, he is an avid road cyclist and dirt tracker.

Oliver Kho

Oliver Kho

Both Oliver and Tyler started as regular students at STAR motorcycle school. After years of absorbing Jason’s philosophies in the classroom, the transition to work as instructors came easily. Oli is a quality guy with a heart of gold. His previous history with Jason’s teaching gives him a unique perspective in his own instruction, and he is an important member of our team!
